A&E’s latest senior appointment is the result of strong professional alignment and impeccable timing. Marius and A&E CEO Shannon were already familiar with one another through previous industry interactions, having developed a mutual respect for each other’s energy, strategic thinking, and values-driven approach to leadership. As Marius had already begun considering his next professional chapter, conversations naturally turned to the possibility of working together.
As discussions progressed, it became clear that Marius’s experience, mindset, and entrepreneurial approach aligned closely with A&E’s evolving vision. The partnership represented a natural convergence of shared ambition and complementary expertise. The opportunity to collaborate formally marked a natural next step - one grounded in trust, clarity of purpose, and a shared commitment to building something impactful.
“Much of my career has been shaped by innovation and entrepreneurship, and I’ve learned to be very intentional about the environments in which I do my best work. When Shannon shared A&E’s business model and long-term vision with me, it immediately resonated. The company’s values, ambition, and approach to growth aligned closely with my own way of thinking, and from that first conversation I felt genuinely excited about the potential to collaborate.” Says Marius
For some context, Marius started his professional journey in brand and business leadership, playing a key role in the growth and market positioning of the Swedish fitness franchise World Class in Romania. As Marketing & Growth Director, he helped expand the network from a single location to 39 market-leading centres, driving significant revenue growth and forging strong B2B partnerships along the way, eventually working for the organisation in Sweden and Croatia.
In 2016, Marius made a significant career transition into the fintech sector, joining TransferGo, a rapidly scaling international money-transfer platform based in London. Initially recruited as Growth Manager for Romania, he quickly advanced to Head of Marketing for the company, thanks to his vision and operational leadership. In this role, Marius was instrumental in scaling the business across multiple international markets and expanding the customer base dramatically.

In 2020, he was appointed Chief Marketing Officer for TransferGo globally, and for the next three years he led the company’s go-to-market strategy, global brand initiatives, and full-funnel growth efforts, while continuing to build and lead a high-performing international marketing organisation.
Marius then spent a couple of years exploring consultancy opportunities and trying his hand as an entrepreneur in the UK tech and data space, finally as co-founder of AI and Data Technology startup Galleon, where he applied his strategic expertise to go-to-market planning, product development and investor engagement, following participation in the Antler VC residency. Additionally, Marius has been profiled in Forbes and has been a regular keynote speaker on marketing and growth leadership at fintech and financial innovation events, sharing his expertise with startup and high-growth communities. [SW2]
Marius also built a parallel international career as a musician and performer, establishing himself as one of Romania’s leading pop artists, enjoying success across Europe and beyond. He first rose to fame as a member of the Romanian pop‑dance group Akcent before launching a solo career, and has experienced performing to audiences of hundreds of thousands.
“I’ve never really followed a conventional career path - I’ve tended to trust my instincts, take chances, and embrace risk. That approach has led to some unexpected and exciting outcomes and given me experiences and insights few people get to have. I’m someone who speaks my mind, and I prioritise integrity and respect in my business and personal relationships, and as I have gotten to know Shannon and the team, I know I have found kindred spirits.
A&E’s ethos truly resonates with me as they are extremely experienced in harnessing creative thinking and innovation to drive positive and sustainable business transformation for their stable of clients, and have a deep understanding of strategy, which is rare in this business. I’m thrilled to be joining them and helping take the organisation to the next level,” concludes Marius.
The final word goes to A&E CEO Shannon Weber:
“We’re delighted to welcome Marius to the team and are really excited about what we’ll achieve together. It’s rare to find collaborators who align so closely with our vision and philosophy, and we’re looking forward to doing great things. Forza 2026!”
