THE CHALLENGE
Cync’s challenge was to fundamentally rethink and redesign its core user experience and interface to replace an existing web application that no longer supported the platform’s growing complexity and user needs. The brief called for a modern, scalable UX and UI that could unify fragmented financial data into a clear, intuitive experience, while improving usability, performance, and efficiency for both business owners and accounting professionals. The redesign needed to simplify complex workflows, enhance clarity and trust, and enable users to work faster and more confidently within a single, cohesive platform.
VISUAL IDENTITY
The existing visual identity of teal and gray was intentionally retained to preserve brand recognition and continuity, while being thoughtfully enhanced to add greater meaning and emotional resonance. This was achieved by introducing imagery that visually represents the idea of being “in sync,” such as dolphins swimming together, people rowing in unison, planes flying in formation, and the murmuration of birds.
These metaphors help connect the brand to a broader, real-world idea of coordination and flow, reinforcing Cync’s promise of seamlessly syncing your business and accounting systems with each other - and with the world around them.
END-TO-END UX
Our role involved taking ownership of the end-to-end UX and UI redesign, starting with a deep familiarisation of the existing solution and aligning closely with stakeholders through research and discovery. We defined clear UX strategic objectives, translated these into well-structured application features, and designed the core user flows through wireframes before progressing to refined UI designs. The final deliverables provided Cync with a clear, scalable foundation for a modern web application, aligned to both user needs and business goals.

Cync’s website was designed as a clear, confident showcase of the platform, focused on communicating value at a glance while guiding users effortlessly through key information. The experience highlights the core benefits of using Cync, clearly explains pricing options, and addresses common questions through an intuitive, well-structured layout. With a modern, trustworthy visual language and concise messaging, the website supports both marketing and conversion - helping prospective users quickly understand how Cync simplifies financial workflows and why it’s the right solution for their business.
